City council revokes business license

The Atmore City Council adopted a resolution to revoke the business license of the Assembly Hall, formerly known as Club Chick-A-Dee at its meeting on Tuesday.
Early Sunday morning, three people were shot at the club, according to police officials.
Chief Chuck Brooks provided an update on the shooting to council members at the meeting.
The Assembly Hall’s previous business license was 05-2016.
In other business, the council:
• adopted resolution 09-2018 to have lighting at the interchance of Interstate 65 and Exit 57;
• adopted resolution 10-2018 to renew a $2.5 million line of credit with First National Bank and Trust;
• proclaimed Sat., Nov. 24, as Small Business Saturday; and,
• tabled ordinance 2018-06 to establish a historic preservation commission to allow for more information to be gathered.
