Alice Robinson Smith

Mrs. Alice Robinson Smith, 87, former native of Camden (Wilcox County) passed away at her residence of more than 60 years in 1185, 112 E. Superior St., in Cleveland, Ohio.

Memorial services were held on Nov. 25, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Pernel Jones Funeral Home in Cleveland.

Catherine Louise “Catskii” Martin

Catherine Louise “Catskii” Martin, 16, was born on Sept. 6, 2002, to the union of the late Antonio D. Martin and Tnequa Earl Martin.

She leaves to cherish a devoted mother, Tnequa Martin; one brother, Kendrick Lawson; and grandparents, Sally Earl Alfred (Inez) Earl.

She was a student at Escambia County High School, and later transferred to Baldwin County High School.

She played basketball, swim team and an all-around outgoing student.

She was a student at Baldwin County High School.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday at First Baptist Church, 1201 Hand Ave., Bay Minette, AL 36507.

Mayberry Funeral Home Chapel was in charge of directing.

 

William Martin Jr.

Mr. William Martin Jr., 91, a resident of Frisco City, passed away on Nov. 22, 2018.

A public viewing will be held from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. tomorrow, Thurs., Nov. 29, 2018, from the chapel of Mayberry Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Nov. 30, at Faith Tabernacle in Freemanville at 1 p.m.

The interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Atmore.

Mayberry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Rev. Edgar McCarthy is the host pastor.

 

Brenda L. Hall

Brenda L. Hall, 71, of McCullough, passed away on Wed., Nov. 21, 2018, at her residence.

She was a homemaker, born on Feb. 16, 1947, to the late Walter B. and Bonnie McNeil Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Willie Frank Hall.

Survivors are one son, William Allen Hall of Huxford; three daughters, Vicky (Don) Williams of McCullough, Lisa (Ricky) Ward of Excel and Michelle (Claude) Turberville of Saraland; one brother, Wayne (Diane) Johnson of Atmore; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Nov. 23, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don McDonald officiating. Interment was held in McCullough Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Cody Hall, Bo Ward, Jesse Ward, Timmy Sims, Brian Tarver and Dakota Barlow.

Honorary pallbearers were Terrell “Tink” Thomas, Don Williams, Ricky Ward, Gunter Myers and Claude Turberville.

Family received friends Nov. 23 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Clark Hill II

Clark Hill II, 62, of Atmore, passed away on Sun., Nov. 18, 2018, at his residence.

He was an operator with Scott Paper Co., born in Atmore on May 9, 1956.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Robert Clark Hill and Margaret Hill Lockwood; and a sister, Sheila Lockwood Ross.

Survivors are a daughter, Megan Hill of Atmore; three sons, Robert Clark Hill and John Drew Hill both of Pensacola, Fla., Timothy Brandon Hall of Atmore; and one sister, Deborah L. Soderlind of Pensacola.

Memorial services were held Nov. 23, from Crosspoint Church with Bro. Guy Heath officiating.

Fate Welch Jr.

Fate Welch Jr., 86, of Brewton, passed away on Sun., Nov. 25, 2018, in Bay Minette.

He was a foreman for a clock factory, born on Feb. 20, 1932, in Monroe County to the late Fate and Addie Presley Welch Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Edna Welch; brothers,

Manford Welch, Tom Welch, Leroy Welch and David Welch.

Survivors are two sons, Jimmy Ray “Ricki” Welch of Birmingham and Terry Welch of Barrnetts Crossroads; two daughters, Darlene (Duane) Homan of Bay Minette and Charlene (Donald) Odom of Barrnetts Crossroads; three brothers, James (Judy) Welch and Eugene (Bobbi) Welch, both of Bay Minette and Edward (Linda) Welch of Monroeville; three sisters, Lois Saints of Bay Minette, Lilly Mae Welch and Louise (Levi) Thompson, both of Monroeville; three grandchildren, Andrew Odom, Derek Homan and Josh Odom; and great-grandchildren, D.J. Homan and Bridget Homan.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. this Sat., Dec. 1, 2018, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony Richburg and Bro. Josh Odom officiating.

Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Josh Odom, Derek Odom, Stephen Welch, Jacob Welch, Sonny Martin and Arthur Odom.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Fri., Nov. 30, 2018 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Jesse J. Mulder

Jesse J. Mulder, 77, of Flomaton, passed away on Wed., Nov. 21, 2018, in Atmore.

He worked with timber as a heavy equipment operator, born in Canoe on June 10, 1941, to the late James Ralph and Viola Powell Mulder.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy K. Mulder; a son, Thomas Christopher Agerton; and a grandson, Brandon Christopher Agerton.

Survivors are one son, Keith (Melinda) Agerton of Ponchatoula, La.; one daughter, Tonya (Tony) Smith of Deatsville; one brother, Robert O’Neal (Virginia) Mulder of Laurel, Miss.; three sisters, Doris M. Jones and Thelma Baker, both of Atmore and Louise (Larry) Hadley of Rabun; and four grandchildren, Khristian Agerton, Morgan Hadley, Taylor Smith and Tanner Smith.

Services were held Nov. 23, 2018 from the Unity Baptist with Bro. Josh Long and Bro. John Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Sardis Baptist Cemetery.

Family received friends Nov. 23, 2018 at the Unity Baptist Church.

Paul Ray Digmon

Paul Ray Digmon, 80, of Atmore, passed away on Nov. 27, 2018 in Atmore.

He was born on March 19, 1938, in Atmore to the late Jimmy and Maude Bowman Digmon.

He was a retired Cabinet Instructor from Jeff Davis Community College in Atmore. He served in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Digmon and Joe Digmon; and sisters, Eula White, Lilly Foster, Dorothy Leroy and Gertrude Ahern.

He is survived by his wife, Laverne Byrd Digmon of Atmore; daughter, Teena (George) Peavy of Lake City, Fla.; step-son, Butch (Sandy) Lee of Flomaton; step-daughter, Pam White of Atmore; sister, Sherry Digmon of Atmore; grandchildren, Daniel White, Ryan Gambel, Kyle Gambel and Dustin Lee; six great-grandchildren; and many family and friends.

Funeral services were held Nov. 27, 2018, at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Butch Lee officiating. Burial followed in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Daniel White, Ryan Gambel, Kyle Gambel, Luke Brown, Ricky White and Caleb Fullerton.

Visitation was held Nov. 27, 2018 from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Robert Irvin Skipper

Robert Irvin Skipper, 72, of Atmore, passed away on Sun., Nov. 25, 2018 in Atmore.

He is retired from law enforcement, Army National Guard and he served in the U.S. Air Force. Born in Repton on Sept. 3, 1946, to the late John Leslie and Aurelia Boutwell Skipper.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shirley Ann Skipper.

Survivors are his wife, JoAnn Nicholson Skipper, of Atmore; two sons,

John (Dawn) Skipper of Atmore and Matthew (Christie) Skipper of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Kimberly Davis of Montgomery; one brother, Roger (Katherine) Skipper of Mobile; and five grandchildren, Brett, Kristin, Katie, Whitney and Ashley.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wed., Nov. 28, 2018, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.

Family received friends Nov. 27, 2018, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Terry Grant Hall

Terry Grant Hall, 78, of Young Harris, Ga., passed away on Thurs., Nov. 22, 2018, in Gainesville, Ga.

He retired from farming in 1998 and then worked for a few years with the Escambia County Road Department. He was born in Bratt, Fla. on Dec. 8, 1939, to Ulysses Grant and Mildred Evelyn Langford Hall.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Sarah Ann Dortch Hall.

Survivors are his current wife, Connie Ann Davis Hall, of Young Harris; one son, Darryl Grant Hall of Charlotte, N.C.;  two daughters, Sheila Ann (Ron) O’Farrell of Lake Mary, Fla. and Pamela Hall (Ron) Wilson of Charlotte; one step-daughter, Kaitlyn Marie Lewis (Gerry) Steege of Bratt; six grandchildren, Sarah Beth O’Farrell of Lake Mary, Zachary Lamar O’Farrell of Cocoa, Fla., Ethan Langford and Greyson Rawls Wilson, of Charlotte, and Addisyn Rylee and Wyatt Reed Steege of Bratt.

Funeral services were held Nov. 26, 2018, from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene King officiating.

Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.
