An Atmore man was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Ridgeley Street and North Main Street on Nov. 30, according to officials.

Chief Chuck Brooks said in a release that the APD responded to a pedestrian versus motor vehicle crash at approximately 8:27 p.m. the night of the incident.

“Officers arrived on scene and learned that Brandon O’Neal Tedder, 35, from Atmore, was struck by a motor vehicle while trying to cross the street,” Brooks said. “Tedder was transported to Atmore Community Hospital, and treated for minor injuries. He was later released.”

Brooks said the motorist wasn’t injured.

The APD investigated the crash, and believe Tedder was under the influence when he was struck by the vehicle, Brooks said.

Brooks said criminal charges are pending.
