Several residents have reported packages stolen from their homes over the last few days, according to officials.
Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said the reports of packages being stolen occurred Dec. 13, 14 and 17 at residences on Liberty Street, Stokley Court, South Carney Street and Highland Avenue.
“The reports were of people shopping online had packages delivered,” Brooks said. “One of the addresses had a video that captured a male dressed in a hoody. We’re running down information on that case.”
Brooks said he’s asking everybody to have their packages delivered to someone’s residence when they are at home.
“All residents should be vigilant,” he said. “If you see anything suspicious, call us. Check on your neighbors.”
