Esther V. Ephriam

Ms. Esther V. Ephriam James, 73, of Atmore, formerly of Mobile, fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on March 29, 2019, at the home of her daughter.

A native of Beatrice, Ms. Ephriam-James was a graduate of Escambia County Training School in 1964. She enjoyed traveling and modeling, as well as watching Westerns on TV. She was a retired employee with Jefferson Smurfitt-Stone, now Geotgia Pacific, in Brewton.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce James; and her parents, Marion Sanders Walton and Samuel McCreary Sr.

Those left to cherish loving memories of her are her daughters, Sheila Ephriam of Atmore and Keisha Ephriam of Waynesboro, Miss.; a son, Nicholas McCreary of Mobile; a brother, Samuel F. McCreary Jr. of Beaumont, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other family members.

A funeral service will be held this Sat., April 13, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Empowerment Tabernacle Christian Center in Atmore with Bishop Darryl North, pastor, officiating.

Inhumation will be in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
