Barbara Lynn “Tammy” Martin was the 13th child born to Mr. William and Ella Mae Martin in Frisco City on April 20, 1968.

She was a proud 1987 graduate of Escambia County High School.

Tammy was a music lover and enjoyed every day listening to many lyrics. She is also known for her favorite saying “It is what it is!”

She began her early Christian life with the Greater Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church and later in life she found herself completed in majesty faith with the Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of her sister, Pastor Darlene McMillan, until her demise on April 10, 2019.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. William and Ella Mae Martin; one sister, Catherine Lemon; two brothers, Willie Martin and Roy Martin; one niece, Tikeshia Martin; two nephews, Terry Martin and Antonio Martin; and one great niece, Catherine “CAT” Martin.

Those who will forever cherish her memories are a loving and devoted daughter, Jasmine Martin; one grandson, Landen Simpson; her devoted and caring siblings, Linda (Mayor Allen) Lang of Frisco City, Eddie (Cynthia) Martin of Excel, Edward (Theresa) Martin, Deborah M. Peterson, , Darlene (George) McMillian, Eartha (John) Jones and Cathy (Joe) Jones of Atmore, Sandra (Walter) Greene of Panama City Fla., Bobby (Jeannette) Martin of Fayetteville, N.C. and Jamie Dailey of Frisco City; three godchildren, Mercedes Hall, Mitchinlina Hall and Zephaniah Crenshaw; two sisters in law, Patricia Martin of Monroeville and Nancy Martin of Brooklyn.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home, 149 Carver Ave., Atmore, AL 36502, 251-368-4525.

The family of the Late Barbara Lynn “Tammy” Martin offers our heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbors for all the support during our time of sorrow.

It is our sincere prayer that God continue to bless each of you.
