“We’re staying in the air.”

That’s what Pilots for Christ Flight Coordinator Johnny Sales said Monday during First National Bank and Trust’s annual Celebrity Waiter event to describe the organization that transports patients who need treatment via an airplane.

POC Pilots for Christ volunteers are pilots and other Christians involved in a ministry to those in need of aviation transportation. The organization helps to carry those who are physically or financially unable to travel by other means to receive treatment.

“In 2018, we flew 500 families,” Sales said. “We had money to pay for all of them.”
