Clovers Ray Bell, 76, of Atmore, passed away on May 8, 2019, in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born in Mobile on Jan. 12, 1943, to the late Ely D. and Annie Oakley Uptagrafft Bell. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church of Atmore, operated and retired from Bell’s Auto Supply in Atmore for over 51 years.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Annie Amos Bell of Atmore; son James Alan (Susan) Bell of Troy; daughter, Wendy (Jon) Jury of Atmore; brother in law, Arnold Amos of Atmore; three grandchildren, Megan (Zack) Stewart, Mallory (Keegan) Lambeth and Morgan Jury; and four great-grandchildren, Camden Stewart, Macie Stewart, Collin Stewart and Lawson Lambeth.

Funeral services were held May 11, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Atmore with the Rev. Arnold Hendrix and the Rev. Kevin Garrett officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Arnold Amos, David Amos, Kelby Amos, Zack Stewart, Keegan Lambeth and Billy Wayne Brown.

Visitation was May 11 from the First Baptist Church of Atmore.

Flowers were accepted, but donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Atmore.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
