A run off election held on Sat., Aug. 1 between Amy Bryan and Sandy Hollinger, will determine the Tribal Council’s next treasurer after an election was held on June 1.

Bryan received 575 votes, and Hollinger tallied 507 to force the run off. Incumbent Eddie Tullis finished with 317 votes.

Charlotte Meckel was reelected as secretary, beating Candace Fayard 703-688; and Incumbent Dewitt Carter was elected in the at large seat with 494 votes.

According to election officials, there was a total of 1,405 general council members who voted in the Tribal Election; 282 absentee ballots and 710 walk-in ballots were counted; and 413 general council members voted in person on Election Day.
