Marcus Gibbs claimed the Atmore Main Event’s light heavy weight title at the Nothing 2 Lose show on June 15.

Gibbs beat The Omega in a lumberjack leather strap match. Every wrestler stood outside the squared circle wielding leather straps, and once a competitor was thrown outside of the ring, they were on their own as the straps were used to wear down the main eventers.

In other action, Atmore’s Cleveland “Downtown” Biggs lost to Eric Adams, who claims he was the man.

Biggs utilized a high frog splash during the match, but fell short to Adams, who may have held on to the Atmore wrestler’s tights for the pin.

Big Sean Sims beat the American Dream John Avers, and Emerald Empire and The New Kings finished in a disqualification after the New Kings were caught with a set of brass knuckles.

Zack Mosley and Ronnie Blackmon kicked the show off with a cavalcade of chops and body drops.

Blackmon featured Rey Mysterio’s token move, the “6-1-9” and Mosley had a sweet drop kick.

Mosley won the match with New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Naito’s version of a destino.

Atmore’s Main Event’s next show will be Sat., July 6. The Great Atmore Bash will feature Biggs, Gibbs, Omega and more.
