Charles Bryant Jackson II was born June 9, 1961 to Charles Jackson and Sarah Jackson in Plateau.
He was a Catholic at United with Our Mother of Mercy Parish. Although he was a quiet man, his devotion spoke for him.
Charles attended McGill Toolen High School Most Pure Heart of Mary and Davidson High School, where he was an avid basketball player. As a child he was instilled with moralistic work ethics and family unification.
Those who will forever cherish his loving memories include a loving and devoted daughter, Shakeithia (Kee-Kee) Carson, who was the apple of his eyes; two loving sons, Charles Bryant (Big O) Carson and Charles Bryant Pettway; three other loving children, Kenya, DaRelle and Marco Carson; a loving, caring and devoted mother, Mrs. Sarah Jackson; the mothers of his children, Crystal Carson and Dora Pettway; grandchildren, Jalen Miguel, Jaden Tiara and Charlazia Carson, Amaya, Cairo and Charles Pettway Jr.; five sisters, Jackie Jones, Felicia (William) Thompkins, Maria (Douglas) Gaines, Veronica Morgan and Valerie (Timothy) Jones; four brothers, Frank Jackson, Joseph (Smita0 Jackson, Marc (Dr. Royshunda) Jackson and Carlos (Patrice) Williams; devoted aunt, Lucy Mae Pickett; devoted neighbor, Bernice “Bonnie” McCovery; friends, Wendell Lafitte, Carliss Hinton, Mike Batain, Orlando “Boot” Oliver; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service was held July 13, 2019 at Mobile Baptist Sunlight Auditorium with Pastor Joseph F. Johnson as presiding eulogist.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home of Atmore.
