PCI to hold run-off election Aug. 3

A Poarch Creek Indian Tribal Council run-off election will be held Sat., Aug. 3, to determine the council’s next treasurer for the next three years, according to officials.

The election will be held at the Pickrell House, next to Lynn McGhee drive on the Pow Wow Grounds.

Amy Bryan and Sandy Hollinger are in the election for the seat.

Election time is from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m

Walk in voting will be held from July 23 until Fri., Aug. 2 as follows:

  • July 23-27, daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • closed on July 28
  • July 29 through Aug. 2, daily from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.

A request for absentee ballot must be received by the election board no later than close of business tomorrow, July 23. Absentee ballots must be received no later than close of business, 5 p.m., on Aug. 2.

Results of the run-off election will be posted at the Pickrell House and in the September PCI Newsletter.
