Mr. Steve Nelson Rutherford, 73, passed away on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, in Biloxi, Miss.

Mr. Rutherford was a native of Jay, Fla. and had resided in Atmore for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, wounded Vietnam Veteran and a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Rutherford; and brother, Glenn Rutherford.

He is survived by his two sons, Ricky (Linda) Rutherford of Perdido and Rocky Rutherford of Monroeville; one daughter, Kristi Rutherford Taylor of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Pearl Sells of Bay Minette and Mavis McGhee of Bay Minette; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Aug. 5 at the Lighthouse Temple Church of God.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
