We’re here to stay.
Since the early 1900s, The Atmore Advance has been serving the people of Atmore and Escambia County.
We have been committed to reporting local news and sports, highlighting the many things that make our part of the world interesting and special, and that’s not changing anytime soon.
Readers will soon notice a real estate for sale sign posted on the sides of the building. Some who pass our building may misconstrue the meaning of the sign as we’re selling our building and or our business.
The business is not being sold, only the building.
We’re selling the building. Southern Real Estate is handling the sale of the building.
Subscribers and digital readers can expect the same in depth community news and sports, along with our special promotions, which we feature throughout the calendar year. The only change is that we’re moving to another building.
Due to the size of our current staff, the current building is a lot bigger than what our staff needs. We’re intending to move to a location that better fits our staff needs.
A company that needs the extra space could better utilize this current building.
Our present location has been our home for many years.
Historians said the building was used as a boarding house at one point in Atmore.
The building is approximately 7,200 square feet, has some great warehouse space and holds space for seven offices and a conference room.
Additionally, there is a large unoccupied area on the interior.
Although we will be looking for a new home within this beautiful city, The Atmore Advance newspaper isn’t going anywhere.
