Deadline is Sept. 6 at close of business

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce is still accepting applications for this year’s Leadership Atmore class.

The deadline to apply is the close of business this Fri., Sept. 6.

Leadership Atmore was founded in 1993, and was modeled after other leadership programs throughout the state, according to the chamber’s Facebook page.

The program is designed to identify and develop leadership potential in the community.

The LA program is a nine-month program consisting of an opening overnight retreat, seven full day interactive sessions and graduation. The sessions form the basis for a distinctive group identity.

During the program, participants will become more aware of the community and its various levels of institutions.

Tuition is $425 for the program, and scholarships are available.
