Sis. Roaslind L. Brown, 49, was born to Sylvester and Catherine Brown in Atmore on Nov. 18, 1969.
She attended Escambia High School, where she graduated in Atmore. She worked at D.W. McMillan Hospital in Brewton until she got sick. She was a member of New Order Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death was her grandparents, Rufus (Elnora) Frye and Ms. Helen Brown.
She is survived by two daughters, Ms. Sharay Johnson and Ms. Se Licia Johnson; mother, Min. Catherine (Isadore) Hughes of Brewton; her sisters and brothers, Christopher (Denise) Brown, Domorris (Tameka) Brown, Garrick (Melanie) Brown, Dishista (Delano) McNeal, Okie (Ken Richardson) and LaTessie (Willie) Washington, all of Atmore; a multitude of uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two aunts, Annie Mae Williams and Dorothy Dale; Godmother, Annie Mae Lawson; and a very close friend of the family, Shirley and Hazley.
A home going celebration will be held this Sat., Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. at Saints with a Vision, 232 Carver Ave., Atmore. She passed away on Aug. 30, 2019.
Officiating at the funeral will be the pastor of Saints with a Vision. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery.
