Mrs. Flora M. “Dell” Lowery, 87, passed away on Tues., Sept. 3, 2019 in Atmore.

Mrs. Lowery was a native of Elba, and resided in Century, Fla. for most of her life. She was a member of the Century Chamber of Commerce and the Century United Methodist Church. She was the former owner of Lowery’s Food Store and Car Sales.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vickie Dell Soto of Mississippi and Nancy Jean (Mike) Wedgeworth of Flomaton; one sister, Emma Virginia McCurdy of East Brewton; five grandchildren, Jill McMullan, Michael Ward, B.J. Ward, Allie Ward and Mike Wedgeworth II; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Sept. 7, 2019 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Hill officiating.

Burial followed at the McCurdy Cemetery.

Visitation was held Sept. 7 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Andy McCurdy, Eddie Dunsford, B.J. Ward, Michael Wedgeworth, Kobe Ward and Jack McCullan.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Newton and Doug McCurdy.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
