Molly Allen Norris, 81, of Atmore, passed away on Sept. 5, 2019, in Pensacola, Fla.

She was born in Pineville, Fla. on July 23, 1938 to the late Robert “Bobby” William and Agnes Joiner Allen.

She was a lifelong member of the Atmore First Assembly of God church where she played piano and served in many capacities in the church. In her working career she worked for Hoehn Firestone Tire, The Atmore Advance and for Dr. Maxwell at Physician Associates of Atmore.

She enjoyed her and her husband’s ministry at Atmore Nursing Home, where she also volunteered in the beauty shop.

She is preceded by her parents; and two brothers Daniel Allen and Harold Allen.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar D. Norris of Atmore; two children, Terry (Becky) Norris of Belforest and Janet (Steve) McGill of Atmore; three sisters, Mary Lee (Robert) Morrison of Spartanburg, S.C., Irene Goodman and Joyce McGraw, both of Theodore; four grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Phillipy, Rebecca (Tom) Hartner, Whitney (Jacob) Maholovich, Jordan (Lewis) Jones; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sept. 8, 2019, from Atmore First Assembly of God Church with Bro. Don Davis officiating. Burial followed in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Terry Norris, Steve McGill, Jacob Maholovich, Tom Hartner, Lewis Jones and Michael Roley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dudley Coleman, Webb Nall, Cecil Daniel, Norman Wilson, Charles Wilson, Mike Stacey and Gerry McGhee.

Visitation was held Sept. 7, 2019, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
