Escambia Academy scored on every possession of the first half as the Cougars rolled to a 38-14 road victory over Clarke Prep tonight.

With this victory, EA improves to 1-2 overall, and 1-0 in AISA Class 2A, Region 2.

EA led 14-0 after the first quarter on a Tyrese Smith 40-yard touchdown return on a fumble, and a 30-yard touchdown rush from Shannon Wheat. Orlando Medina made the extra point tries.

The Cougars added a 1-yard touchdown run; and a 23-yard scoring rush from Jason Davis in the third quarter.

For the game, EA tallied 270 rushing yards, and had 91 yards in the air.

EA hosts Patrician Academy next week.
