Rachel Patterson Elementary School was greeted by Atmore’s finest first responders Sept. 11 during Heroes Day.

Atmore Police and Fire officials, along with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office officials and EMTs visited classrooms at the local elementary school.

Police Chief Chuck Brooks spoke to each class, and reminded the students that they are here for them.
