Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce officials announced that this year’s Taste of the South was the largest.
“This was the largest participation we ever had,” Executive Director Emily Wilson said. “Last year, we sold 748 tickets, and this year, we almost sold out of 1,500. That’s a lot of seeds of goodness to be planted in our neighborhood.”
Wilson said the winners were separated by some 10 votes.
The winners by division include:
- Best Taste Commercial – By only 17 votes, David’s Catfish House
- Best Taste Amateur – Atmore Lions Club
- Best Taste Dessert – by 10 points, First National Bank and Trust
- Best Taste Drink – United Bank
- Best Taste Decorated Booth – Astound PT
