Archers braved the heat for a good cause at the annual Shoot for a Cure to end Childhood Cancer event on Oct. 3 at the PCI Football Field.
PCI Field Manager Jacob Rackard said the shoot is important to have because it’s for a good cause.
“I think it’s important to help out the St. Jude’s foundation,” Rackard said. “It’s such a vital part of cancer awareness, trying to find a cure to cancer. I think that’s the main focus to see these families that are affect by the disease, and what we do to help these families.”
Shooters, young and old, competed in kids range, adult range, five target pop up range and a long shot range target. The top two from each category won prizes.
