Comfort Care Hospice hosted a Veterans Day service, honoring Atmore Nursing Center residents who served in the military. Harold Madison, a retired sergeant first class officer with the VFW Post 7016 of Atmore, spoke about the meaning of Veterans Day, and read a poem. Those residents present and honored on Monday include from right: Charles Freeman, U.S. Air Force; Danny Mims, multiple branches; Ed Clemens, U.S. Army; Fred Anderson, U.S. Marine Corps; and George Boone, U.S. Army. Also shown with the veterans are Comfort Care Hospice’s Maggie Quimby and Madison.
