An unidentified person died in a single-vehicle wreck early Friday morning on Deere Creek Road, according to Alabama State Troopers.

According to ALEA, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office (Ala.) notified Troopers a little before 3:30 am of the crash.

The vehicle — which was confirmed to be a 2010 Ford Edge — was burned, a driver was the sole occupant inside and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Troopers.

Troopers are waiting on positive identification of the victim.
