Josephine Strickland, 89, of Canoe, passed away on Thursday, December 19,

2019 in Atmore.

She was a retired teacher with Escambia County High School, born on October 27, 1930 in Elmore County to the late William L. and Linda Marie Calloway Strickland.

She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Survivors are her son, Malcolm (Sheryl) Harrelson of Perdido; and grandchildren, Jessica Bossard and Tonya Loftis.

Graveside services were held December 28, 2019 in Weogufka

First Baptist Church Cemetery at Weogufka with Bro. Malcolm Harrelson

officiating. Interment followed in Weogufka first Baptist Cemetery.

Family received friends December 27, 2019, at Johnson-Quimby

Funeral Home.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of all arrangements.
