Shirley Marilyn Vickrey Fayard, 81, of Atmore, passed away January 23, 2020, in Atmore.

She was born in Huxford to the late Bernard E. “Bunk” and Daisy Myrtle Kent Vickrey on October 21,1938.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Billy Turberville; and brothers, Lawrence Vickrey and Doug Vickrey.

She was a faithful member of Presley Street Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, pianist and member of the choir.

She was a retired banker from First National Bank of Atmore after 48 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, H. Curtis Fayard of Atmore; three sons, Greg (Kelly) Turberville of Enterprise, Mike (Terri) Fayard of Seminole and Bryan (Candace) Fayard of Flomaton; two sisters, Nell Owens of Atmore and Ann (Larry) Davis of Atmore; one brother, Weldon (Kay) Vickrey of Mineola; five grandchildren, Erin, Kaylee, Cody, Emily and Curt; and three great-grandchildren Arabella, Owen and Finn.

Funeral services were held January 27, 2020 at the Presley Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Simpson officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation was held January 27 at Presley Street Baptist Church.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
