Atmore Police Sgt. Thaihee Staples earned sergeant of the month, and Officer Gordon Brooks earned officer of the month honors for January 2020, according to officials.

The APD holds monthly award recognitions to honor the numerous members of the department for their professionalism and dedication. The awards, awarded by Lt. Ken Sessions, are given for providing outstanding police services to the citizens of Atmore with the highest order of integrity and dependability and in a manner that exemplifies the goals of the Department.
