Honoring Dean

Alabama State Troopers, Atmore Police Officers, Flomaton Police Officers, Poarch Tribal Police, Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies and others were among those honoring the late James “Jimmy” Dean in a funeral procession through town today.
According to Dean’s obituary, he was a respected law enforcement officer with over 25 years of experience, serving Atmore, the state of Alabama and the Poarch Creek Indians.
Dean served the State of Alabama for 22 years, retiring in 2016. Shortly following his retirement, he continued to serve his community as a Tribal Police Officer with PCI.
A funeral service was held today, February 27, 2020, at the McCullough Christian Center with the Rev. Josh Long and Bro. Don Davis officiating.
Burial followed at Serenity Garden Cemetery.
