Ma’Leyah Ayesha Hardin was born on February 28, 2014 in Mobile. She transitioned this life for eternal life on February 10, 2020.
She passed away so innocent and true, so brief was her time, we hardly knew. A baby so sweet with a precious smile; the time we had with her was so worth the while.
An early arrival in heaven that day, met by angels in their array. A comforting thought as they welcomed her there, so much to see and so much to share. Hardin will always be remembered as a smart, sweet, energetic and happy child with a beautiful smile.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her loving mother, Shekeriah Akbar; a wonderful brother, Jace Akbar; grandparents, Sultan Akbar and Melinda York; two aunts, Melinda Dewan York and Taheerah Akbar; three uncles, Sultan York, Jamal (Destinee) McMillian and Jamal Singleton; eight great-aunts, Queen (Osben) Clark, Gloria Lynch, Sandra (Anthony) Dixon, Shirley Ruth Little, Ruby (Curtis) Crockett, Voncile (Terry) Milton, Lisa (Douglas) Jones and Denis York; six great-uncles, Jerry (Elizabeth) Maye, Melvin Woods, Samuel Maye, Robert Woods, Lonnie Maye and Gregory Woods; and a host of cousings and other relatives will cherish the fond memories of Ma’leyah.
A funeral servcie was held Feb. 22, 2020, at E.O.H. Holiness Church in Prichard with Pastor Linda Willis officiating.
