Alabamians may be worried about a lot of things, but spam calling isn’t one.

Alabama ranked 31 on the States Ranked by Change in Complaints chart.

Alabama area codes are some of the most favorite ones for spammers to dial, but 205, 251, 256, 334 and 938 have been 53 percent reduced in calling.

A global pandemic and a United States national emergency was declared on March 8.

Complaints to the FTC for Do-Not-Call Registry violations drop 15 percent compared to the previous week, according to officials. The week beginning March 15 saw an even deeper drop of 23 percent from the beginning of the month. Complaints continue to drop as the week beginning April 5th sees a 58 percent reduction.
