The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced Tuesday that 24 confirmed cases have been reported from its two hospitals.

According to its bi-weekly report, 21 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported from Atmore Community Hospital with 254 specimens collected, 218 negative results, 14 pending results and one inconclusive.

Three confirmed cases have been reported from D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital with 141 specimens collected, 128 negative results, 10 pending and zero inconclusive.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, which offers different numbers due to the timing of the report, there have been 26 confirmed cases reported in Escambia County, Ala. with 317 specimens collected and one confirmed patient death.
