Chester Bluford Byrd, 80, of Atmore, passed away on April 23, 2020, in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born in McCullough on September 18, 1939. He owned and operated Byrd’s Heating and Air for many years and later retired.

He was a member of Judson Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his father, Vester L. Byrd Sr.; his mother, Nola Mullins Kizer; and brothers, Charles Douglas Byrd and Vester L. Byrd Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Earline F. Byrd of Atmore; his children, Angie (Blevin) Davis of Milton, Fla., Douglas (Kulua) Byrd and Michael (Tiffany) Byrd, both of Atmore; grandchildren, Alysha (Blake) Cunningham, Samantha Byrd (Trista Smith), Heather (Nate) Fernandez, Dalton Davis (Andrea Carnley), Taylor Byrd, Harley Byrd and Jaxon Byrd; great-grandchildren, Adrienne Chong, Traegan Chong, Kaydence Popejoy, Blakelynn Cunningham, Cole Cunningham, Ophelia Byrd and Aurora Frost.

Graveside services were held April 26, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Bro. Brett Chancery officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Due to the current health crisis it is asked of you to please use the social distancing requirements for the safety of the family and others.

Active pallbearers were Doug Byrd, Mike Byrd, Adam Bailey, Mark Snowden, Ellie Bailey and Dalton Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Blake Cunningham, Nate Fernandez, Tommy Pickern, Harley Byrd and Jaxson Byrd.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
