Mrs. Peggy Boutwell Mitchell, 64, passed away on Fri., May 1, 2020, in Colquitt, Ga. 

Mrs. Mitchell was a native and lifelong resident of Atmore. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a retired waitress and was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Gladys Smith Jr.; and son, Jeremy Boutwell. 

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ronald L. Mitchell of Atmore; three sons, Randall Boutwell of Huxford, Marcus Boutwell of Atmore and Terrell (Kerrie) Boutwell of Atmore; one daughter, Sandra Boutwell of Atmore; two sisters, Sharon (Buford) Wiggins of Davisville, Fla. and Linda McLain of Atmore; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Funeral services will be held today, Wed., May 6, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Buford Wiggins officiating.

Visitation will be held May 6, 2020 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
