The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce announced today that the 2020 edition of Mayfest will be held July 31 and Aug. 1 at Tom Byrne Park.

The annual festival was postponed because of the current and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce, who proudly coordinates the event each year, is looking forward to putting on the festival and we are confident it will be a wonderful time of celebration and tradition,” Executive Director Emily Wilson said in a release. “This year’s festival will proceed with all aspects previously planned for Mayfest including Miss Mayfest, the Mayfest Softball Tournament and the Beautiful Baby Contest.”
