Forty-nine cases of COVID-19 have been reported at the Escambia County Healthcare Authority’s two hospitals.

According to the ECHA’s biweekly update, there have been 42 confirmed and reported cases at Atmore Community Hospital with 471 specimens collected, 415 negative results, 13 pending and one inconclusive.

At D.W. McMillan, there have been seven confirmed cases with 259 specimens collected, 244 negative results, eight pending and zero inconclusive.

The biweekly updates reflect current case numbers. Due to the timing of the updates, the numbers may differ from the numbers on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website.

According to the ADPH, there have been 49 confirmed cases in Escambia County, Ala., 1,125 specimens collected and three confirmed patient deaths.
