Mr. Joe Henry McLendon, Jr., 69, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at his home in Bay Minette.

Mr. McLendon was a native of Baton Rouge, La., former resident of Mobile and had resided in Bay Minette for the past 37 years.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was of the Church of God Faith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Henry McLendon Sr.; mother, Edna Mae Wilson; and brother, Herbert Wilson.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dianna M. McLendon of Bay Minette; two sons, Joe H. (Veronica) McLendon III of Bay Minette and Matthew (Amanda) McLendon of Bay Minette; two daughters, Lydia Hobbs of Barton, Miss. and Rebecca Downey of Foley; three brothers, Thomas Wayne Hancock of Elberta, Thomas Wayne Wilson of Bay Minette and Curtis Sykes of Hampton, Va.; five sisters, Joanne (Dan) Kincaid of Mobile, Rose McLamb of New Orleans, La., Theresa Wilson of Purvis, Miss., Cathy (Marty) Bateman of Hampton, Va. and Linda Sykes of Hampton; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God with Bro. Randall Short officiating.

Visitation was held June 8, 2020 at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
