Kenneth “Kenny” Lavone Slater of Molino, Fla., lost his battle with cancer on July 27, 2020.
He was 64 years old.
Kenny was born on Jan. 27, 1956 in Flomaton.
He worked for Vanity Fair for 15 years and eventually retired from Pat’s Flag Car Service in 2014.
He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Slater; mother, Lillie Slater; and sister, Linda Peacock.
He is survived by his sons, Chris (Jessica) Slater and Scott (Tasha) Slater, both of Milton, Fla.; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Madelyn, Skylar and Rae, and Grace and Hunter; sister, Clara Bonner of Needham; brother, Gerald (Flo) Cofield of Flomaton; and also many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Graveside services will be held this Sat., Aug. 1, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Traveler’s Rest Cemetery in Flomaton with Pastor Ben James of Mt. Sterling Baptist Church of Butler officiating.
Petty- Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore is in charge of all arrangements.
