Margaret Marilyn Caraway, 82, wife of Cecil Edward Ellis, passed peacefully in her sleep on Tues., July 28, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.

Born on June 29, 1938, in Atmore, Marilyn was the daughter of Mable Hogan and the late James Orville Caraway.

Marilyn finished school at Escambia County High School in Atmore in 1956. She spent her life raising her four children, and caring for her loving husband. With her servant’s heart, she spent years singing in the choir and teaching children’s Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Brooks Memorial Baptist Church. She lived a life that radiated her love for the Lord. She put the needs of others above her own and could always put a smile on anyone’s face, whether a friend or stranger. To know her was to love her, something that her magnetic charm and quick wit made easy to do.
