Water levels have crested and are receding in some county water ways, Escambia County EMA officials said.
Director David Adams said the water ways impacted include Murder Creek, Burnt Corn Creek, Big Escambia Creek, and little Escambia Creek.
“Hopefully they will continue to drop,” Adams said. The Conecuh River, however, is still rising, but at a lower rate if rise than earlier. The forecast crest for the Conecuh River is forecast for Friday afternoon, but levels will be slow to drop.”
