The Escambia County Healthcare Authority released its latest COVID-19 update from its two hospitals.

According to a release, the ECHA said that there have been 579 confirmed cases at Atmore Community Hospital and 238 at D.W. McMillan Memorial.

Some 2,667 specimens have been collected with 2,040 negative results, seven pending and 41 inconclusive at ACH.

There have been 1,233 total specimens collected, 955 negative results, 16 pending and 24 inconclusive at DWM.

The numbers are updated twice a week to reflect current cases. Due to the timing of the information, the numbers may differ from numbers on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website.

According to the ADPH, there have been 1,335 confirmed cases in the county with 400 total specimens collected in the last 14 days.

The ADPH doesn’t have a number of confirmed patient deaths listed on its website, according to ECHA officials.
