Me, a chatter box? It can happen

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

It was a small crowd, but there were laughs and hearty conversation.

As I usually do on a Saturday night, I made my way to the local watering hole, where I was met with some people who I have gotten to know while visiting The Publican.

Once inside, I debated on where to sit. There is an area closest to the door that I prefer to sit, and if another person came in I’ve gotten to know, I wouldn’t want to take their seat.

So, I sat near the corner, facing away from the door.

A short time later, a friend walked in and we immediately began to talk about this and that.

As I talked, I thought to myself, “Well, aren’t you a little chatter box.”

Those who know me, know that I don’t talk much and am quite quiet.

Additionally, the Alabama game was on and as the conversation progressed, I’d turn my head to the right to see how the Crimson Tide was doing. Of course, they won, but it was good to see some college football of SEC caliber on the screen.

As the night wore on, I was getting a little anxious to get home.

I get home, and start to watch a wrestling program.

Just over an hour into the program, I fell asleep and found myself in my bed a short time later. Now, I’ve been tired before, but I don’t remember being that tired.

Maybe it was because I talked so much.

Who knows.

All I know is that a good time was had by all.

Have a good week.
