Public Information Officer Samantha Rose said Demarcus Fernando Harrison, 46, was serving a life sentence out of Lauderdale County for first degree robbery.

“The ADOC condemns all violence in its facilities, and the fatal actions taken against Harrison by another inmate are being thoroughly investigated,” Rose said in a release. “Harrison’s exact cause of death is pending a full autopsy, and more information will be available upon the conclusion of the investigation into this death.”
