The removal of debris is in its final stage, according to city officials.
Officials said in a release that the restoration from Hurricane Sally is moving forward at a rapid pace, and all public parks and cemeteries are open.
More than 37,000 cubic yards of debris have been temporarily located at the old Escambia County Middle School, and will be reduced by grinder and hauled to the city of Atmore landfill.
Officials said after all work is completed, the temporary disposal management site will be restored to its original condition.
The city’s goal is to complete all work by the end of the month.
