Mr. William “Bill” A. Phillips, 71, of Little River, passed away on Thurs., Oct. 15, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary in Mobile.

Mr. Philips was a lifelong resident of Little River and was a member of Mineola Baptist Church. He retired from International Paper Co., where he was a warehouse manager and shipping supervisor. He was also known as the South Monroe and North Baldwin County maintenance man repairing all types of household problems for anyone that called.

Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Andrew “Drew” Phillips and Maggie Lou Roberts Phillips; and his brothers, Murray Phillips and Charles Wayne Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Phillips of Little River; his son, William Greg Phillips of Stapleton; his daughters, Angela Phillips Turk and husband Dale of Uriah, and Ann Snowden Morgan and husband, Leigh, of Andalusia; four brothers, Donald Phillips of Uriah, Frank Phillips of Biloxi, Miss., Jerry Phillips of Cullman and Jimmy Phillips of Uriah; three sisters, Earnestine Owens of Uriah, Myrtle Daszczuk of Elberta and Judy Peak of Bay Minette; eight grandchildren, Labon Turk, Tyler Turk, Colby Turk, Laken Dassel, Maggie Phillips, Gavin Phillips, Brittin Morgan and Cole Morgan; and six great-grandchildren, Kennedy Turk, Rhett Turk, Castiel Turk, Rowan Turk, Sean White and Jade Dassel.

Funeral services will be held today, Oct. 20, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Mineola Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Kirchharr officiating.  Burial will follow in Phillips Cemetery on Antebellum Lane in Little River.  Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Rufus Williams, Tyler Turk, Dale Turk, Labon Turk, Colby Turk and Cole Morgan.  Leigh Morgan will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
