Cougars rise to No. 2 in final ASWA poll

Escambia Academy rose to No. 2 in AISA in the final Alabama Sports Writers Association football poll, which was released on Tuesday.
The Cougars defeated Bessemer Academy, who was No. 2 and fell to No. 4, 33-12 on Oct. 30 on the road.
This week, EA faces Springwood in the first round of the AISA Class 2A state playoffs.
In Class 3A, Flomaton is No. 6 and T.R. Miller is No. 7. FHS visits Trinity Presbyterian and TRM hosts Dadeville in the first round of the playoffs this week.
