William Van Cooey, 71, of Atmore, passed away on Nov. 8, 2020.

He was born on Oct. 6, 1949 in Pensacola, Fla. to the late William and Vera Braxton Cooey.

He was the owner of Pensacola Savage Co.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Laurie Cooey; and his siblings, June Cooey and Mark Cooey.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Malone Cooey; his daughter, Ashley (David) Grant of Chumuckla, Fla.; his brothers, Kirk (Kim) Cooey of Silverhill and Rick Cooey of Westville, Fla.; his sister, Jane (Tommy) Bullock of Pensacola; and his grandchildren, Kennedy Grant and Reid Grant.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
