Mrs. Carol Ann Melvin, 56, passed away on Fri., Jan. 8, 2021 at her home in Atmore.

Mrs. Melvin was a native of Summerdale and had resided in Atmore for most of her life. She was a proud homemaker; she loved her family, children and grandchildren. Her hobbies were gardening, planting flowers and playing with her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lila Kendrick; sister, Jeanette Sells; and two brothers, Robert Kendrick and Calvin Jackson Kendrick.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Wayne Pruett of Atmore; one daughter and son in law, Latasha and Robin Jackson of Bay Minette; four brothers, Carlton Kendrick of Bay Minette, Charles Kendrick of Camden, Melton (Rhonda) Kendrick of Atmore and David (Kristie) Kendrick of Foley; four sisters, Faye (Billy) Owens of Silverhill, Ann (Roland) Nelson of Daphne, Mary Lou (Anthony) Pizzotti of Fairhope and Billie Ann Edwards of Atmore; two grandchildren, Chloe Jackson and Paxton Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 10, 2021 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Sells officiating.

Burial followed at the Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Travis Kendrick, Dalton Cluck, Trennon Hamilton, Drake Hamilton, Bryan Little and Tony Sells.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes LLC of Atmore was in charge of all arrangements.
