Mr. Daniel “DC” Harville, 77, passed away on Mon., Jan. 18, 2020, in Bay Minette. 

Mr. Harville was a native of Rabun, former resident of Huxford and had resided in Perdido for the past 53 years.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Little River Holiness Church. He was retired from International Paper Co. with over 20 years of service. He founded Harville’s Café, was an environmentalist and worked with Rydell’s, American Environmental and RDH.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Hilda Mae Harville; brother, Henry Harville; and two sisters, Louise Hadley and Ruby Stewart. 

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lavaern Harville of Perdido; one son, Bro. D.L. (Woodlou) Harville of Perdido; one daughter, Sandra Denise (Donnie) Stewart of Atmore; six grandchildren, Sarah (Tony) Hicks, C.J. (Ariel) Hadley, Rebecca (Heath) Bryars, Eric Stewart, Brenton Stewart and Shellie Stewart; and eight great-grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, Walker, Justin, Annie, Adalyn, Allyson and J.W. 

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Wed., Jan. 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sis. Helen Stewart, Bro. Joe Welch and Bro. Ray Harville officiating. 

Burial will follow at the Bryars-McGill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held on Jan. 20, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until service time at at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Tony Hicks, Eric Stewart, Donnie Stewart, Brent Stewart, Bobby Harville, Henry Harville Jr. and Heath Bryars.
