Northview’s girls weightlifting team finished third in the district meet on Jan. 22 in Jay, Fla.

NHS coach Natalie Nall said the girls worked hard.

Baker, Fla. finished in first place; Jay finished second; South Walton, Fla. finished fourth; West Florida finished fifth; and Freeport finished sixth.

The Lady Chiefs will advance to the regional meet this Fri., Jan. 29, at Suwannee High School in Live Oak, Fla.

Those from NHS competing at the regional are the following:

• Chloe Criswell and Holley Gilley, 101 class;

• Taylor McMinn, 154 class;

• Audrey Goetter and Naudia Carach, 169 class;

• Leah Wood, 183 class; and,

• Joshlynn Helton and Maggie Amerson, unlimited class.
