Mr. Waman Lee Davis Jr., 62, of Atmore answered the master’s call on Thurs., Feb. 4, 2021, at Atmore Community Hospital.

A native of Atmore, Mr. Davis was a 1978 graduate of Escambia County High School. He also attended Jefferson Davis Community college (now Coastal Alabama Community College). He served his country for many years in the U.S. Army.

After his military service, he later worked as an employee of Standard Furniture in Bay Minette. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and watching TV.

Fond memories of his life and legacy will be cherished by his wife, Rosa M. Davis of Atmore; sons, Kenneth (Angelia) Riley of Montgomery and Kerry (Yterecia) Davis of Atmore; a sister, Mable (Michael) Bessent of Clermont, Fla.; two brothers, Melvin Lawson of Fort Myers, Fla. and Jerome Davis of Atmore; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service with military honors will be held this Sat., Feb. 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Bishop Dashwood Riley officiating.

Public viewing will be held this Fri., Feb. 12, 2021 from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home with TURNER FUNERAL CHAPEL directing.
